Today, I celebrate a new PR and a BQ time....3:53:40!!!! But just as importantly, today I celebrate a marathon in which I managed it – it did not manage me.
More to come in a real race report, but for now, I’ll leave you with an image of my newest bling –
Hope you're all having a great weekend and all the Moms are having a pampered Mother's Day! Time to eat cake chill....race report coming soon J

ReplyDeleteThanks Amy!! Looking forward to reliving it through the post :)
DeleteWoo hoo! CONGRATULATIONS on a shiny new PR *and* a BQ! Boy howdy, when you decide to race you go all out! Enjoy your accomplishment - you earned it!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much - I am definitely enjoying my moment!
DeleteCongratulations Lisa! I thought of you this morning as the rain was pouring down, looks like it didn't stop you from having a kick ass race. Great job!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Jill! The rain wasn't too bad actually; the humidity...that was something else altogether! But fortunately I've done this enough times to know when to dial back and/or push forward. So I did a lot of "riding the clutch"!
DeleteCongratulations...a PR and a BQ! Enjoy your day, and looking forward to reading the recap!
ReplyDeleteThank you :) I haven't had too much time since returning home yesterday, but I hope the recap will be enjoyable when I start stringing the words together.
DeleteCongratulations on the BQ and a great race!
ReplyDeleteThanks Sandy!! I believe you are about to embrace your inner taper, am I right? You too are going to have a fantastic run :)
DeleteCongrats! I love that wording, you managed it! Perfect!
ReplyDeleteThanks a bunch!! "Managing" is a word my husband's always used, so he gets all the credit :) I will say that managing the race feels SO much better than the "fly and die" approach :)
DeleteYay!!!!! Congrats on the BQ!!! Can't wait to read all about it!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Nancy :) My sore toes are dancing on cloud #9 right now!!
DeleteWTG Lisa!! Congrats on your BQ! Looking forward to reading your recap!
ReplyDeleteHey thanks Michelle!! Can't wait to start writing - and Scott got a couple good finish photos too :) I don't think he'll charge me like Capstone Photography....
DeleteHooray! That is such great news!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Elizabeth! Pretty stoked for sure :)
Deleteoh wow! a BQ! good for you! I was thinking about you that morning and wondered how you did. And then thought about you again yesterday as I drove through Georgetown heading to Byfield. I can't wait to read the race report!!
ReplyDeleteHey Michelle, thanks for the good thoughts! One of these times, we've gotta coordinate a meeting/drive-by/run-by when you're in Byfield/G-town again.
DeleteWOOHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So, so happy for you!
ReplyDeleteThanks Mandy!! That makes 2 of us :)
DeleteEeek! Congrats!!
