Good Race Karma

Portland Marathon ROCKS!  I have yet to actually participate in the race (got another 8 months to go), but already, I’m super impressed.

Remember that little mis-communication I wrote about recently?  The one where both my mother and I registered me for the 2013 race?  Well, I wrote an email to the Race Director, attached as much information possible, and pleaded our case.  After only one day, I got this response:

Way to go Portland Marathon….I call that good race karma!!

(though the idea of running 26.2 twice does bring a little twinkle to my eye..)

  1. Wow! That seems just about unheard of for most big races these days where increasingly it is difficult to even defer a year. Way to go, Portland Marathon! (I've always wanted to run that one...someday).

  6. That must have been a relief to have that taken care of! I ran the Maine Marathon, in Portland and Falmouth, in 2011. Rainy, but fun!

  7. That is so great!! If anything, Portland Marathon is very well organized! However, I have no doubt, you could run 26.2 twice ;).

  8. Sadly, I won't be in town for the marathon this year :(. You'll just have to imagine me on Willamette Ave (around mile 20) cheering on you and your mom!
