Remember that little mis-communication I wrote about recently? The one where both my mother and I registered me for the 2013 race? Well, I wrote an email to the Race Director, attached as much information possible, and pleaded our case. After only one day, I got this response:
Way to go Portland Marathon….I call that good race karma!!

Wow! That seems just about unheard of for most big races these days where increasingly it is difficult to even defer a year. Way to go, Portland Marathon! (I've always wanted to run that one...someday).

DeleteThat must have been a relief to have that taken care of! I ran the Maine Marathon, in Portland and Falmouth, in 2011. Rainy, but fun!
