Thank you BAA. Thank you Mohawk Hudson River 10/10/10 for my PR and BQ. Thank you legs. Thank you…..sixes! After being away from my desk for several hours, I came back to a busy InBox, including this little gem –
Phew. I had a Plan B for a Spring marathon, but I was really hoping not to have to use it. Thanks for all the ‘good luck’ wishes everyone!
Congratulations! Enjoy it! I wish I was going too :(
ReplyDeleteYay! Great job Lisa!!!
ReplyDeleteOMG, I am so happy for you. I instantly thought of you when I saw a FB post of another runner that did not. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much! I feel very lucky to have gotten in :)
ReplyDeleteAWESOME!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations!!!!
ReplyDeleteWoo!!! That's great! So excited for you! :)
ReplyDeleteSo happy for you! You deserve it! Now go make some hotel reservations in Boston.
ReplyDeleteFortunately, I live close enough to drive into the city and get bussed to Hopkinton. It's a long day, but you will not hear me complain!
ReplyDeleteAlready put in for vacation time for that day :)
Congratulations!!! I just read a post from someone who did not get it...feel so bad to read this when someone did qualify...
ReplyDeletehappy for you!!!
Woot! Woot! Yay for you! :)
ReplyDeleteYes! So glad that just about everyone who qualified is getting in so far (that I've heard). You're going to love it!
ReplyDeleteMohawk is one of those I'm considering for next Fall--did you love it? Is it true that a train can come through and disrupt the course?
I just totally laughed my ass off at your comment on my blog today! No freakin' kidding, huh? 1200 sit ups, 20 miles, 2 hours on spin bike......what else? lol
ReplyDeleteI laughed while I typed it!!
ReplyDeleteThat is so awesome!!!!Congrats! 1200 in a week might nor seem so bad. Lol:)
ReplyDeleteSo exciting! Yay for plan A!
ReplyDeleteThanks Tina...yes, Plan A is totally the best plan :) I feel so lucky and grateful.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to read about your race this weekend!!!!
Hey Lisa! Found you on Tina @ Gotta Run Now. Congrats on Boston and just wanted to say that I'm running my 1st marathon on the Hudson Mohawk River Marathon on Sunday 10/9/11 - which it looks like gave you the PR to do Boston! Happy running!
ReplyDeleteHey Angie, thanks for popping in! Although I don't know what kind of runner you are (ie love the quiet, need the crowds, etc), I think you'll like it. The train crossing the race course is a little funky, but I think they ironed that out since last year :)
ReplyDeleteMy favorite part was early on in the course: it might be the beginning of the bike trail, where (on your left) is a beautifully vast countryside. I found it really pretty and peaceful.
Have fun and enjoy your first - there's nothing better!
